Wellington man pleads guilty to rape
Dwaine Stacey Shaw, 21, pled guilty to rape, forcible sodomy, aggravated kidnapping and aggravated burglary on Monday in 7th District Court in Price.
Shaw, who was arrested four months after the Jan. 13 attack, showed no emotion as Judge George Harmond talked with him, advised him of his rights on entering a guilty plea and then set a court date of Nov. 26 for sentencing.
The attack on the woman set the entire community on edge as lawmen tried to find the person who did it. It wasn't long before the Wellington police had suspect (Shaw), but it took four months to get back the DNA tests to confirm their suspicions.
