Cones not for them

I looked out my window the other day and was astonished to see two women (I shall not designate them as 'ladies') in my front yard picking every last cone from my (very small, 4-year-old) pine tree. It seems to me that that is theft.

The tree was planted in honor of my late mother, Carol Ann Adams, and my siblings were looking forward to the cones, in order to plant a "Mom" tree of their own. I would've gladly shared with the intruders had they bothered to show the courtesy of asking me. I am offended, and hope that they will read this and understand that trespassing and theft is not in any way acceptable, nor it is a sign of 'neighborliness'.

Shame on them!
