Roy L. Collins, of East Carbon, died Friday, Oct. 5, 2012 at the Grand Junction, Colo. V.A. Hospital.

Born Aug. 16, 1950 in Thermopolis, Wyo., to Warren and Betty Collins.

Roy was a talented individual who excelled in everything he put his mind to do. He was an Honorably Discharged Vietnam Veteran with numerous citations and medals.

Roy had many careers throughout his life, Coal miner, Welder, Mechanic and several other entrepreneurial endeavors.

He is survived by his son Roy L. Collins Jr, daughter Echo Hughes-Kerr, brothers Bert Collins, Warren (Spud) Collins, Byron Collins and sisters Tressa McArthur, Betty Lee, Helen Brandon, Nola Porter.

No services will be held, a donation can be sent to National Parkinson Foundation.
