PRICE - Our loving husband, father, grandfather and beloved brother, Larry Jay Kulow, age 68, passed away Oct. 9, 2012 at his home.
He was the youngest of three sons born to Christopher Carl and Lena Arilla Blackham Kulow in Kenilworth on July 29, 1944.
Shortly after graduation from Carbon High School, Larry married Janice Barker on Feb. 20, 1965 in Price, Utah. Together they made their home in Price where they raised three wonderful sons.
Larry was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He was a longtime resident of Carbon County where he worked in various mines in Carbon County, Nevada and Arizona. "Kulow" was highly respected by many and his work ethic left many lasting impressions with those he worked with in the coal and tire industry. Larry was a tireless worker who made sure that the job was done right so he could enjoy the finer things in life, such as fishing, camping and hunting with his family. It was said, that "Kulow"occasionally set his fishing pole and camping trips aside for a trip to Wendover.
He was an avid sports fan who loved to watch all types of sports on television. Larry will be dearly missed by all and his name will be honored for generations.
He is survived by his wife, Janice Kulow, Price; sons, Cory R. (Tawnya) Kulow, Price, Mikel Kulow, Price, Casey (Bobbie) Kulow, Helper; six grandchildren, Kaeden, Kaleb, Kaitlee, Cameron, Nikki, and Darren; brothers, Jim (Vicki) Kulow, Ron (Roseanne) Kulow, both of Price.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral service, Friday, Oct. 12, 2012, Noon, Mitchell Funeral Home (233 E. Main Street, Price). Family will be at Mitchell Funeral Home Thursday evening from 7:30-9 p.m. and Friday one hour prior to services. Interment, Cliffview Cemetery, Price.
