PRICE - Our laughing with tears rolling down her face, yelling at her 'wrastles', game playing, Orange Julius and French toast making, Native American loving, hamburger eating, easily embarrassed grandmother and so much more, went to be with the love of her life on Sept. 18, 2012.
Grandma Sharon was born in Provo on Oct. 23, 1938 to Robert Blackett and Ruby Mann. She married her soul mate, Stanley Nay in Montana and he spent the remainder of his days teasing his sweetheart and making her laugh. Grandma greeted everything in life with humor and joy, but her greatest passion was her family.
She is preceded in death by her parents, three of her siblings, Ralph, Della and Ruth Carter; and her son, Charles Owen Carter.
She is survived and loved by her sisters, Barbara Wilson (Mapleton) and Ina Graham (Springville); her daughter, Mary Elizabeth (Liz) Carter Palmer, her grandchildren Claudia (Stacy) Philpitt, Tanya Carter, Cheryl (Brian) Archibald, Richie (Jennifer) Carter, Nancy (Shawn) Gibson, Tina (Mike) Zerkle, Mitch (Tiffany) Carter, and Mistie Carter, 35 great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren, June Navarick, many nieces and nephews, family and friends.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to Bishop Potts and her ward. Also thank you to the staff at Parkdale Care Center and Castleview Hospital for taking such good care of her.
A graveside service will be held Friday, Sept. 21, 2012 at 10 a.m. at Price City Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Mitchell Funeral Home of Price where friends are welcome daily and may share memories of Sharon at www.mitchellfuneralhome.net.
