SUNNYSIDE - Lester "Lefty" Grundvig, age 72, passed away peacefully at home on Sept. 6, 2012. He was born May 28, 1940 to Alfred and Nora Grundvig in Bountiful and moved to Huntington at the age of two. On Sept. 15, 1988, Lester married his lifetime partner and best friend Florence Ann Graves in Reno, Nev.
He was an avid fisherman, loved the outdoors and enjoyed camping with his family. He was a very loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and a faithful friend to all who knew him.
Lester is survived by his wife, seven children, 11 siblings, 23 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his mother and father, three siblings and his first wife.
In lieu of flowers, donations would be appreciated and are being accepted at Sunnyside Credit Union.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, Sept. 14, 2012 at 11 a.m. at Fausett Mortuary (680 E. 100 S., Price). A viewing will be held on Thursday, Sept. 13, 2012 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Fausett Mortuary and on Friday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. prior to the services at the Mortuary. Interment will be in the Huntington City Cemetery. Services are in the care of Fausett Mortuary. Family and friends may sign the guest book and share memories of Lester at www.fausettmortuary.com.
