PRICE - Our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister, Loma O'Neil Davis passed away Sept. 3, 2012 in Price at the age of 93.
She was born Dec. 22, 1918 to George and Lenora Albplanalp O'Neil in Roosevelt and the family moved to Price when Loma was two years old.
Loma married the loved of her life, John "Bus" Davis, Jr., April 12, 1941 in Castle Dale. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple. They made their home in Standardville where "Bus" worked at the mine. Loma and "Bus" loved to Polka and they shared many wonderful years before his passing on Dec. 24, 1997.
Loma was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She was always caring for others and was a staunch supporter of the Castleview Hospital Auxiliary for over 30 years. She was also a member of the Price Ladies of Elk's where she was president numerous times. Loma brought great joy and comfort to everyone and her smile warmed the hearts of all.
She is survived by her two children, Pamela Austin-Reed (Kenny), Las Vegas, Nev., Brent (Donna) Davis, Price; five grandchildren, Shaun (Lisa) Austin, Kelli (Larry) Swartzel, Jeff (Holly) Austin, Ryder and Chance Davis and 10 great-grandchildren.
Loma was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters and one brother, Grant, Marie, Nola and Leah.
Funeral service, Saturday, Sept. 8, 2012, 1 p.m., Mitchell Funeral Home (233 E. Main Street, Price). Family will be at Mitchell's Friday evening from 6 - 8 p.m. and Saturday one hour prior to services. Interment, Price City Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Mitchell Funeral Home of Price where friends are welcome daily and may share memories of Loma at www.mitchellfuneralhome.net.
