After two weeks on the road, Lady Dinos ready for first home game
The Carbon High Volleyball team is ready to play on their own home court and in front of the home town fans.
After spending the first two weeks of the season traveling to St. George for a tournament and playing back-to-back away games in Richfield and Salt Lake City, Carbon High will open the home part of their schedule with a game against the rival Emery Lady Spartans.
Carbon High head coach Danielle Jensen said the team had some difficulty putting everything together in two losses to Richfield (18-25, 12-25, 28-26, 13-25) on Aug. 23 and Judge Memorial (20-25, 23-25, 16-25) on Tuesday evening.
"We had a rough night against Judge," Jensen said. "We've just had a tough time generating offense on a consistent basis."
Despite the losses, Jensen said the Lady Dinos (2-4) have not shown any quit and did not back down in any game this season.
Jensen and the Lady Dinos are hoping a home game is just what the team needs to get back on track.
"It's tough to play and win on the road so coming home to play a game can be a confidence for us," she explained.
The Lady Dinos will host Emery High (1-1) tonight with the varsity game scheduled to start at 6:30 p.m.
