Weed control group slates tour of burned area around Huntington

The Skyline Cooperative Weed Management Area will conduct a tour of current weed problems in Huntington Canyon on Wednesday, Sept. 12. The tour will include the recent impacts and potential weed problems caused by the Seeley Fire.

Lunch will be provided by the Emery Water Conservancy District. The tour will conclude by touring current infestations of yellow toadflax, tar weed, and treatment areas near Skyline Drive. Meet at 9:45 a.m. at the Huntington City Park on Main Street in Huntington. The group will leave at 10:00 a.m. sharp and expect to return at 3:00 p.m. Attendees need to provide their own transportation. RSVP to Melissa at (435) 381-2300 ext. 101 no later than Sept. 5.
