The USU Eastern Prep team finished third in state and went 13-4 in the regular season and qualified for state. They played in a pool play first with the top two teams from the pool advancing to the second round. The team beat West Jordan, Granger, and Highland which got them the number one seed out of their pool. They then played Cooper Hills in the second round and beat them. USU Eastern then played a good Taylorsville team for our second game of round two. After beating them in the regular season, Taylorsville had a new team at state with six different kids showing up which lead to a 4-1 loss for USU Eastern. Ethan Tuttle had the hottest bat on the team the whole season and Cole Fossat and Colton Greener were dominate on the mound, coaches said. "We had a great team and every kid was very coachable and had great personalities. It was sad the season had to end, but these boys will do great no matter where they go be it helper or price they will get great kids with great skills," said coach Brandon Wilson.
