A horde of brilliant yellow rubber ducks splashes into the canal in Carbonville Saturday for the annual Kiwanis fund-raising race. The club had to change the date and the venue for the competition this year because the wild fire near Scofield forced the cancellation of Pleasant Valley Days. Below, the mindless competitors head downstream to the finish line about a mile away
