CARBONVILLE - Our loving mother and grandmother, Annie Lindsey Timothy, age 87, passed away July 25, 2012 in Price.
She was born June 17, 1925 in Sunnyside to James Robert and Carrie McKnight Lindsey.
Annie attended Carbon College in Price. As a young woman, Annie helped in the World War II efforts as a Boney Picker at a local Carbon County Mine.
On Dec. 1, 1945 Annie married Louis Earl Timothy of Cleveland. They made their first home in Spring Canyon and later moved to Wellington. They then moved to East Carbon. They had five wonderful children together and they were married for 40 years before Louis passed away on March 26, 1985. Annie later found companionship with Johnny Diamanti in 1993 and resided in Helper for 15 years. She spent the last four years in the care of her daughter and son in law Tami and Danny Velasquez in Carbonville until her health declined. At this time she then resided at Pinnacle Care and Rehabilitation in Price where she made many friends and received quality care until her passing. Annie loved spending time with her grandchildren taking vacations to Snowbird Resort and dancing.
Survived by her children, LuAnn Oviatt, Anchorage, Alaska, Collin (Becky) Timothy, East Carbon, Tami (Danny) Velasquez, Carbonville; 13 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by her parents, James Robert and Carrie Lindsey; husband, Louis Earl Timothy; infant son Brady Timothy; son, Shane L. Timothy; all of her siblings.
Funeral Service, Wednesday, Aug. 1, 2012, 2 p.m. Mitchell Funeral Home (233 E. Main, Price). Family will receive friends Wednesday one hour prior to service. Interment, Price City Cemetery.
