PRICE - On July 27, 2012, Dixie H. Thayn passed with the morning rain and went home to be with The Lord.

She was born March 27, 1935 in Lawrence to Robert and Sybil Timothy Wilstead.

"Nana" joins her parents Robert and Sybil; her sisters, Molly Wood and Sandra Holdaway; and her grandson, Thayn Michael Shumway..

She is survived by her husband of 58 beautiful years, Albert Leon Thayn; three siblings: Holly Larsen, Judy Noyes, and Bob Wilstead; four children: Lori Thayn, Cheryl Wilcox, Mark Thayn, and Sergio Amaya; ten grandchildren: Nicholas Kiahtipes, Christopher Kiahtipes, Luke Kiahtipes, Taylor Shumway, Seth Shumway, Savannah Thayn Schleider, Heather Thayn Taylor, Trevor Thayn, and Ezra Amaya; and five great-grandchildren: November Kiahtipes, Bryce Denton, Emma Shumway, Adyson Schleider, and Baylee Taylor. Dixie is also survived by her extended family at Price Chapel and the love, compassion, and empathy she inspired in all of us."

A celebration service will be held, Tuesday, July 31, 2012, 11 a.m., at Price Chapel (611 Price River Drive) in Price. The family will be at Price Chapel Monday evening from 6 - 8 p.m. and Tuesday one hour prior to service. Interment, Wellington City Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Mitchell Funeral Home of Price where friends are welcome daily and may share memories of Dixie at
