WAAIME donates $16,000 to local students

The Woman's Auxiliary to the American Institute of Mining, Metallurgical, and Petroleum Engineers Utah Coal Section has donated $16,000 to eight area students for college studies in a variety of Earth Science fields.

Winners of the scholarships (clockwise from top left) are:

Brad Brinkerhoff, University of Wyoming, Petroleum Engineering;

Gail LaFrentz (Scholarship Chairman), Danelle Rigby, Utah State University, Geology-Archaeology, Jenny Richins (Scholarship Committee);

University of Utah Mining Engineering Department: Robert Jones, Chad Nielson, Gail LaFrentz (Scholarship Chairman), Nick Nielsen, Eric Spencer, Andrew Carey, Frederick Kuhnow (not shown).

The organization wants to that those who supported them in the Coal Country Classic fund raiser.
