Above, Carbon High School junior Austin Nielsen works with the crew of volunteers he recruited for his Eagle Scout project to get rid of weeds along the Price River Trail and replant with native plants. Below, USU Eastern biology instructor Jerry Anderson holds one of the 2,000 plants he nurtured for the extensive project. The work involved hundreds of yards worth of hacking, digging and careful planting.
