Price City places restrictions on Pioneer Day fireworks
While there has been some rain recently, the danger of fire form the use of fireworks remains high. Therefore the following fireworks restrictions within the Price City limits remain in effect.
Personal fireworks, only those legal in Utah, will be allowed only on July 24th at one location; the old Durrant School (USU/CEU) Park at 600 North 500 East. The hours of discharge will be from 9 p.m. until midnight. Ground fireworks and sparklers can be discharged only on the South side of the park, while Utah legal aerial fireworks are restricted to the designated area on the East side of the park next to the cemetery.
Discharge of fireworks outside of the designated date, time or area is prohibited.
If fireworks are to be enjoyed on July 24th and in the future all participants and spectators need to help ensure this is a safe event, therefore anyone doing anything which, in the opinion of the Fire Chief or his designee, endangers anyone will be asked to leave.
Violating the ordinance and this order is considered a class "B" misdemeanor and Fire Chief Paul Bedont says that violators will be cited.
