Sliderz take state championship by storm

The local 8 and under Sliderz baseball team were crowned State Champions after winning a state tournament in Vernal last week. In the tournament, the Sliderz went 7-1 and defeated a team from Roosevelt twice in the finals to be crowned champions. The team will travel next to Riverton the week of July 23 to participate in the Pacific Southwest Regional Tournament where they will be competing against teams from across the Western United States including California, Arizona and Nevada.
