HELPER - Mariko Aoyagi, age 92, passed away July 4, 2012 at her home in Helper.
She was born Nov. 10, 1919 in San Francisco, Calif., to Yasuko (Nakayama) and Yujiro Ikebuchi. Relocated from San Francisco to Topaz Internment Camp in Delta at the outbreak of World War II and never left Utah. Survived by son, Harry; daughter, Linda Cooper; sister-Yoshi Ogawa; daughter-in-law, Pat Aoyagi; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by father; mother; husband, Taro; son-Leonard; brother, Harry; and sister, Jean Kaneda.
