HELPER - Our loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and son, Rudy Paul Santistevan, age 66, passed away peacefully July 4, 2012 at his home in Helper.
He was born Aug. 12, 1945 in Monte Vista, Colo., to Delfino and Pauline Lobato Santistevan.
Married Mary Modlin Sept. 22, 2009 in Helper.
Rudy was a proud retired member of the United Mine Workers of America. He enjoyed the outdoors camping, fishing, hiking and spending time with family. He loved riding his motorcycle and was a former member of B.A.C.A. Rudy will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
Survived by his wife, Mary Santistevan, Helper; mother, Pauline Santistevan, Price; step son, Richard Sisneros, Salt Lake City; children, Jaimie (Jared) Bringhurst, Centennial, Colo., Shasha Santistevan, Salt Lake City, Michael Santistevan, Salt Lake City; brother, John Santistevan, Miss.; sister, Yolanda Santistevan, Salt Lake City; grandchildren, Alisia, Alex, Andrew, Mei, Sierra, Aurora Grace; aunt and uncle, Mary (Gilbert) Padilla, Colorado; cousins, Francis (Tom) Herrera, Yvonne (Manuel) Padilla, Liz (David) Padilla, Orlando (Elva) Padilla, all of Colorado.
Preceded in death by his father, Delfino Santistevan.
Memorial service, Friday, July 13, 2012, 10 a.m. Mitchell Funeral Home (233 East Main, Price). Family will receive friends Friday morning one hour prior to service.
