	Wellington City has submitted a post-closure permit application for
the Knight-Ideal Class III landfill located in Wellington City, Utah
to the Director of the Division of Solid and Hazardous Waste.  The
proposed landfill would be constructed at an abandoned coal loading
facility to dispose of onsite coal refuse as part of a beneficial
reuse project intended to reclaim the site and develop a public park. 
The planned improvements include a paved access road, parking, rest
rooms, fish pond, ball fields and other improvements to benefit the
residents of Wellington City.

	The Division of Solid and Hazardous Waste has reviewed the permit
application and a draft permit has been prepared.  Before taking
action on the request, the Division is providing a public comment
period to receive public input.  The public comment period on the
draft permit begins June 28, 2012 and ends July 30, 2012.

viewed on the Internet at  Official
copies are available for public review during normal business hours at

	Written comments will be accepted if received by 5:00 PM on July 30,
2012 and should be mailed to the address below or delivered to the
