PRICE - Karen Monique Arnold Gilg, age 51, passed away on June 24, 2012 in Castle Dale. She was born on June 6, 1961 in Salt Lake City to Robert Lewis and Rachelle Williams Jackson. Karen married Brent Christiansen and together they had three children, later divorced. She married Robert Gilg on Jan. 30, 2010 in Castle Dale.
She loved being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Karen loved watching birds, and enjoyed all animals. She enjoyed making jewelry, and she loved the desert and being a rock hound. Karen most of all loved being a grandmother. In her later years she loved being a caregiver to the elderly.
She is survived by her husband Robert, mother, Rachelle Liddil, children: Amy (Glen) Krieter, Wyoming; Brian (Sarah) Christiansen, Stephanie Christiansen, Aaron Arnold, all of Indiana; step-children: Robert Gilg Jr., Salt Lake City, and Jessica Gilg, California; sisters: Kelly Hards, Kimberly Prows, and Karrie Allred, brothers: Rob Jackson, Michael Jackson, Danny Jackson, and David Jackson. She also leaves behind six grandchildren with one on the way.
Preceded in death by her father.
Funeral Services will be held Thursday, June 28, 2012 at 11 a.m. at the Price LDS North Stake Center (449 N. 100 E.). A viewing will be held Thursday, June 28, 2012 from 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. prior to the service at the church. Interment will be held in the Castle Dale City Cemetery at 2 p.m. Services are in the care of Fausett Mortuary.
