Hundreds of American flags and a crowd of well-wishers lined 100 North Street in Price Tuesday as members of the National Guard's 1457th Engineer Battalion, 624th Engineer Company detachment passed in review on their way to deployment in Afghanistan. They are bound for Ft. Bliss in Texas for training, then 10 months in the combat zone. They will be involved mainly in "facility deconstruction" and training of Afghans. Additional photographs of the parade and the community support are on page 8B.
