Local traveling softball team gearing up for World Series in California

The Carbon Dinocrackers, a 13-year-old girls softball travel team, have been playing together for over four years and have won several softball tours and placed in many others in Provo, Salt Lake City and St. George areas.

Most recently they won the Thunder Rumble in Tooele and the Spring Fling in Price. They have also won several Basketball tours and placed in many others. They have been invited by the USSSA to play softball in the USSSA World Series Tournament in California this summer.

The team consists of Kelsey Sorenson, Markale Gressman, Makayla Lupo, Paige Haeck, Cyene Bigelow, Lindsey Blanc, Chandelle Nichols, Kierra Ellington, Shaina Cartwright, Kinley Nelson, Taylor Passarella and McKenna Sorenson. Coaches Bart Sorenson, Gary Haeck and Kent Bigelow.
