Back again by popular demand will be Mutton Bustin!! Every legendary cowboy or cowgirl began their rodeo career at their local community rodeo participating in Mutton Bustin. This is an event similar to bull riding or bronc riding.

Riders must be between the ages of 3 and 8 and weigh less than 60 pounds. There will be a limit of 10 riders per night and a parent or guardian must sign a release form and be present during the event. Participants must furnish and wear a sturdy helment with straps and wear appropriate shoes (no open toed shoes or sandals will be allowed.

Contestants have the choice to hold on any way they think will help them stay on the longest, although history shows the majority of the riders fall off before the 30 second mark. The rider who stays on for eight seconds or the longest, and earns the most points, will win.

Sign-up is at 6:00 pm each night. There is a fee of $5.00 per rider. There will be a limited of number of spaces available each night. To qualify contestants must be 8 years old or younger and weigh 60 lbs or less.

You don't want to miss the opportunity to watch future Cowboys and Cowgirls on their way to being the next Black Diamond Legend. The action will begin at 6:30 pm each night before the rodeo.
