ORANGEVILLE - Jean J. Curtis, age 79, passed away May 22, 2012 in Provo surrounded by her family. Jean was born May 11, 1933 in Price to Byron and Udella Petersen Johansen. She married Wallace "Rohmer" Curtis Jun. 9, 1954 in Las Vegas, Nev. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple.

Jean was a member of the LDS Church. Serving others was very important to her and something she enjoyed doing. She loved to spend time with her family. Jean will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.

She is survived by her husband, Rohmer; children: Danny (Sandy) Curtis, Jeannie (Stuart) Jensen, Donna (Greg) LeRoy, Roma (Craig) Brotherson, and Kim (Robyn) Curtis; daughter-in-law, Marsha Curtis; sisters: Ina Lee Magnuson, Kaye (Ray) Paoli, and Sunny (Chris) Nielsen; sister-in-law, Julie Pizzuto; 19 grandchildren; and 32 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, Bennie Ray Curtis; brother, Kirk Johansen; and sisters, Patricia Brinkerhoff Fenn and Zora Fielder.

Funeral services will be held Friday, May 25, 2012 at 2 p.m. at the Orangeville LDS 3rd Ward Chapel (165 W. 800 N., Castle Dale). There will be a visitation Thursday, May 24 from 6 - 7 p.m. at Fausett Mortuary (720 North Center Street, Castle Dale) and on Friday from 12:30 - 1:30 p.m. prior to the services at the church. Interment will be in the Orangeville City Cemetery. Services are in the care of Fausett Mortuary. Family and friends may sign the guest book and share memories of Jean at www.fausettmortuary.com.
