Carbon High teams all preparing for state competition

A number of Carbon High sports teams are in the final stages of preparing for their upcoming competitions at the state level.

The Carbon High baseball team will start play in the 3A State Tournament on Saturday as the team will travel to take on Stansbury in their first game. The tournament follows a double elimination format which means the Dinos will play at least two games on Saturday.

The Carbon High girl's golf team are hard at work on the golf course trying to master their games as they will head to Vernal on Tuesday for the state golf meet. After a second place finish in Region 12 competition, the Lady Dinos will be looking for a strong performance at the state tournament.

The Carbon High Track team will be traveling to the region meet at Juab today in their last competition before the state meet held at BYU on May 18-19.

The Sun Advocate will post stories and information about the results in each of their sports as soon as they are completed.
