It didn't take long for the Carbon High Dinos baseball team to make a statement in their last game before starting state tournament play.

Junior Dakota Cisneros hit two home runs and senior Julian Tamllos added one of his own to help give the Dinos an early lead on their way to a 11-1 win over North Sanpete on Thursday afternoon.

The Dinos were able to get a quick five inning win thanks to a hot start on offense and a defense that kept mistakes to a minimum. Senior Seth Tryon picked up the win for the Dinos.

Now CHS, the fourth seeded team out of Region 12, will set their sights on Region 11 number one seeded Stansbury High in their first game in the 3A State Tournament starting on Saturday at 10 a.m.

The tournament follows a double elimination format which means the Dinos will play two games on Saturday whether they win or lose.
