A 32-year-old man was fatally stabbed during a fight in Price Friday afternoon at a home at 390 N. 100 East St. A 21-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of homicide.

Price police identified the victim as Ryan Patrick and the alleged assailant as Jordan Wilcox of Price.

Police stated that Wilcox and Patrick were arguing at about 4:30 p.m. outside the house.

The argument apparently escalated after the Patrick allegedly made some aggressive moves toward Wilcox. Wilcox reportedly stabbed the other man during the altercation in the chest with a large kitchen knife.

After a call from the homeowner, police officers, Carbon County Sheriff's deputies, emergency medical crews responded.

Patrick was later pronounced dead at Castleview Hospital. Wilcox was arrested and was booked into the Carbon County Jail.

Reports say that Wilcox was living in the home and the other man often visited the house.

There has been no information on why the fight occurred.
