PRICE - As difficult as it is, we have had to say farewell to our daughter, sister, mother, and dear friend, Rebecca Lynn Sanchez-Mezek. It's very easy to remember the wonderful qualities of Beckie who passed away suddenly due to heart conditions while visiting family in Washington on Friday, April 27, 2012.
She was born July 29, 1955 in Price to Rudy W. and Shanna Rae DeAngeles Mezek.
Her caring and consideration for all around her was ever present. Sharing her love and compassion without reservation and giving more than she would ever expect in return.
Beckie worked much of her life in the Salt Lake City School District working in administration and being an advocate for the youth. Family values were a true virtue of Beckie and she was a pillar of stability for the entire family. She always had the capacity in her heart and soul to spread her love to each and every member. Such a loss to many and will be truly missed. Beckie had an inherent love for animals, often having up to six pets at one time and still having an open heart to many others. She loved the outdoors and spent much of her time camping and fishing. Beckie was a member of the Slovenian Lodge # 113 of Price.
She was married to Arthur Sanchez, Price, and they had the opportunity to travel. Living for an extended time on the beaches of Mexico is just one of their adventures together.
Beckie is survived by her father, Rudy Mezek, Price; sister, Debra (Don) Borba, Evanston, Wyo; brother, Jay Mezek, Seattle, Wash; aunts, Mary Smith and Lavae Beausheur; nephews Shawn and Sonny Borba; cousins Robert, Jerry, and Larry Smith, Valerie, Janae, and Keb Beausheur.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Shanna Mezek; aunt Frances and uncle Bob Mallard; uncle Frank and aunt Irene Mezek, all of Price; and her uncle Kenneth Beausheur, Salt Lake City.
