VERNAL - Our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister returned to her heavenly father on April 20, 2012 in Vernal. She was born on Feb. 22, 1936 in Bear River, Colo., to Margureite Kishell and Herman Francis McFarlane.

Lois married George (Jerry) Gerald Dimick on February 24, 1956 in Las Vegas, Nev. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Vernal Utah Temple.

Lois was known by many as "Mama Lois." She worked in the medical field in Vernal for many years. She enjoyed spending her winter months in Yuma, Ariz.

Lois is survived by her husband George (Jerry) Dimick, her children, Scott (Judy) Dimick, Vernal, Gary (Terri) Dimick, Vernal, Dean (Lisa) Dimick, Craig, Colo; 14 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren and her sister, Beverly Petersen, Salt Lake City.

Funeral Services will be conducted Wednesday, April 25, 2012 at 11 a.m. at the Vernal 8th Ward Chapel (1499 West Highway 40, Vernal). A viewing will be held Tuesday evening 6 - 8 p.m. at the Ashley Valley Funeral Home (410 N. 800 W., Vernal) and one hour prior to services at the Church. Interment will be in the Vernal Memorial Park. Online condolences may be shared at www.AshleyValleyFuneralHome.com.
