PRICE/HOLLADAY - Betty Jolley Lether, age 88, passed away April 1, 2012 at the Beehive Home in Price.
She was born Jan. 14, 1924 in Lander, Wyo., to Charles Frederick and Marie Rachel Morgan Schermer.
Betty was a long-time resident of Carbon County and a dedicated employee of H & J Supply. While residing in Price she was married to Guy H. Jolley, they later divorced. On Sept. 15, 1982, she married David R. Lether in Las Vegas, Nev. The couple made their home in Holladay where she eventually retired from US West. Betty was a member of the Episcopal Church and Beta Sigma Fi. She enjoyed golfing, bowling and playing bridge. She will be dearly missed by her family and a community of friends.
Survived by her husband, Dave Lether, daughter, Marilyn (Terry) Vogrinec, all of Carbonville; son, Stephen (Jo) Jolley, Salt Lake City; step-son, Steven Lether, Seattle, Wash; sister, Jackie (John) Doyen, Gwinn, MI; sisters-in-law, Beth Schermer, San Diego, Calif., Edith Sanberg, Holladay; six grandchildren, Ryan and Jason Vogrinec, Tyler, Hannah, Kaitlyn and Paige Jolley; five great-grandchildren, many loving nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, Bob Wolfe, Guy H. Jolley and John Gardner; step-sons, Mitch and Cory Lether; two sisters and two brothers.
Funeral service, Thursday, April 5, 2012, 2 p.m., Mitchell Funeral Home (233 E. Main Street) in Price. Family will be at Mitchell's Thursday one hour prior to services. Interment, Cliffview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to the Alzeheimers, Diabetes Associations or a charity of choice.
