Cat Issues- Letters to the editor

Editor:

On a recent visit to Helper I was extremely saddened by how Helper looks. My concern was the feral cats that run through town.

My visit to the museum mining equipment lot was overwhelming. Cat feces were so deep it was disgusting to walk through the lot. Up Main Street cats were running all over as well as along the parkway. The smell of cats were very strong and the gutters were dirty. Buildings smelled of cats.

This has got to be a health issue to people . It is an unhealthy environment to the animals as well. In my neighborhood we had the same issue. There are several agencies to contact for help. I can only hope that Helper City officials will address this very serious problem. Jenna Rio Salt Lake City
