A month-long span between home games will certainly provide a test for any team in any sport. For the Carbon High Lady Dinos softball team, the first two tests of the road trip have not proven to be so kind.

After a tough 4-3 loss at American Fork on Friday, March 23, the Lady Dinos traveled to Juab High School last Tuesday for their first game in Region 12 play this season.

The Lady Dinos were unable to score in the top of the first inning but they had to watch as Juab put together a big inning in the bottom of the first to take a 6-0 lead.

Juab continued to add to their lead scoring two runs in each of the second, third and fourth innings to take a commanding 12-1 lead.

The Lady Dinos added another run in the top of the fifth inning but the game was ended due to the mercy rule as Juab picked up the 12-2 win.

Carbon finished with two runs on six hits and three errors. Juab (7-5, 1-1 Region 12) finished with 12 runs on 10 hits and one error.

Carbon (4-9, 0-2 Region 12) will travel for a Region 12 game with Payson today at 3:30 p.m.
