Carbon High softball team triumphs over rival Emery High

While the gusty wind and dust from the playing field being kicked up all over the place, the Carbon High Lady Dinos softball team walked away with an 8-4 win over the rival Emery High Lady Spartans on Tuesday afternoon at the Carbon High softball field.

Pitcher Jordyn Cave helped lead the way for CHS as she pitched a complete game finishing with 11 strikeouts.

Down 3-2 in the bottom of the fifth inning, CHS scored 6 runs over the next two innings, including a bases clearing triple by Katie Basinger that helped give CHS the lead for good.

CHS, currently 4-4 overall, will take on Grand at home tomorrow starting at 3:30 p.m. at the Carbon High softball field.
