In still another long harangue by the distinguished Robert Warren of East Carbon. (Sun Advocate, Feb 28). It gives one to wonder just what his point is?

He criticizes the actions of the Tent Occupiers, more or less, saying they are nothing more than rabble rouser's. The Occupy movement spread rapidly nation wide and is a protest against the greed of Wall Street and the big bankers that put us in this recession. A justified protest,I would think.

Why should working people, older people, middle class people have to scrimp just to get by while he wealthiest Americans enjoy their low tax rates? With their wealth they continue to lobby Congress to retain the status quo for their own benefit.

Mr,Warren never fails to offer criticism of President Franklin D. Roosevelt, I think FDR said it best:. "The test of our progress is not whether we add more to the abundance of those who have too much; it is whether we provide enough for those who have too little."

There are still a few of us old timers around who have what is called a "Depression Mentality."

Heaven forbid another experience like that. I don't see another FDR on the horizon if it happens again.
