After five games into the 2012 season for the Carbon High boys soccer team, scoring hasn't been too much of a problem.

While the CHS boys are able to get the ball into the opposing teams' goal, their defense must be able to prevent teams from scoring as they head into Region 12 play starting on Wednesday, March 21 against Delta.

Over five games, the CHS boys have allowed 3.4 goals per game while scoring 3.4 goals per game.

Leading the way for the Dinos is senior Tanner Gagnon who currently has 10 goals, including three hat-tricks this season.

CHS which has an overall record of 2-3 played their final out of conference game at Maeser Prep on Monday.

Head coach Keith Palmer said his team will have to adapt to the styles of other teams in Region 12, which will see CHS play teams including Delta, Payson and Spanish Fork.

Palmer said the team is already weeks and months ahead of where the team was last year at this point of the season.
