PRICE/SALT LAKE - A very loving wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend, Connie Colunga Cordova, age 65, passed away March 8, 2012 at her home.
She was born March 17, 1946 in Grand Junction, Colo., to John and Toni Arroyo Colunga.
On May 12, 1969 she married Dick Dickerson and they divorced in 1980. She later married Richard Cordova on Dec. 22, 2004 in Price.
Connie was a devout member of The Trinity Christian Center in Price. She was very active in her community and was a staunch supporter of Active Re-Entry. As an accomplished artist, Connie loved to make things comfortable with her decorative ways. She was a very colorful individual who brought great joy and comfort to those around her.
In 1966, Connie graduated from Utah Technical College with her associates in commercial art. For years she worked as a graphics photo technician in the circuit board industry. She loved to read, garden and most of all enjoy her family and friends.
Survived by her husband, Richard Cordova, Price; one daughter and three sons, Valerie (Ricardo) Ornelas, Jon (Tina Marie) Dickerson, both of West Valley, Richard Dickerson, Rorey Colunga, both of Magna; brother, Robert (Pauline) Colunga, East Carbon, Ileen (Jim) Sanchez, Price; step-children, Phillip (Valerie) Cordova, Grace, Idaho, David (Becky) Cordova, Rock Springs, Wyo., Debbie (Larry) Madrigal, James (Anna) Cordova, both of Price; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by parents, and stepson, Raynel Cordova.
A memorial service for Connie will be celebrated on her birthday, March 17, 2012, 11 a.m., at the Trinity Christian Center (925 E. Main Street) in Price. Family will receive friends at the church Saturday one hour prior to services. Interment, Mt. View Cemetery, Helper.
