CARBONVILLE - Our loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend, Lula Fay Twitchell Jensen, age 78, passed away peacefully March 3, 2012 at Castleview Hospital in Price while surrounded by her loving family.
She was born April 20, 1933 in Randlett to Ezra and Bertha Kindal Boren.
Married Carl Twitchell in 1950. He died Feb. 26, 1996. She later married Vernon Jensen Feb. 14, 2004 in Huntington.
Lula was a very "Classy Lady" who had a lust for life. She loved camping, hunting, horse back riding and family get togethers. Lula enjoyed sewing western clothes, cooking and canning. She enjoyed the Grassy Trail Riding Club.
She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Survived by her husband, Vernon Jensen, Carbonville; sisters, Wanda (Myron) Slaugh, Vernal; Lela Pape, Price, Connie Boren, Vernal; Ebby (Ally) Brown, Ogden; children, Wes (Kathy) Twitchell, Ft. Duchesne; Bruce Twitchell, Price; Janet (John) Armstrong; five step children, Debra Lynn (Warren) Oviatt, Robert (Cheryl) Jensen, Thomas (Christine) Jensen, Janet Deveraux, Gordon (Shauna) Jensen; 34 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; close friends, Abel Aragon, Elsie Ware and Steve Knight.
Preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Edna Brown; Alberta Smuin; Verda Thompson; Clinton Twitchell; Lorenzo Boren; Darrell Boren; Beula Blackburn.
Funeral Service, Wednesday, March 7, 2012, 2 p.m. Mitchell Funeral Home. Family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6 - 7 p.m. and Wednesday one hour prior to service at Mitchell's. Interment, Cliffview Cemetery, Price. Arrangements entrusted to Mitchell Funeral Home of Price where friends are welcome daily and may share memories of Lula online at www.mitchellfuneralhome.net.
