Wellington City has vacancy on council

Wellington City Councilwoman Amber Adair has moved out of town and has had to resign her seat on the council.

The city is now accepting written submissions for a replacement for the rest of her term, which ends Dec. 31, 2013.

The qualifications include: United States citizenship, being a registered voter in Wellington, being a resident for 12 consecutive months, and not being a convicted felon, unless the right to hold elective offices has been restored.

Interested persons may apply at the city recorder's office, 150 West Main St., or by mail addressed to Wellington City, Attention Ken Power, PO Box 559, Wellington, UT 84542.

Deadline is 5 p.m., April 3.

The council will fill the vacancy at its regular meeting on April 4 at 7 p.m.
