PRICE - Our loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend, Barbara Carol Olsen, age 80, passed away peacefully Feb. 24, 2012 at Castleview Hospital while surrounded by her loving family.

She was born Dec. 25, 1931 in Price to William Alvin and Gladys Eva Tatton Hunter.

Married Byron Carl Olsen on Jan. 12, 1950 in Price; their marriage was solemnized in the Manti Temple on April 10, 1965. Byron preceded her in death on Dec. 31, 2003.

Member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Carol was a lifelong resident of Carbon County where she was employed by Jeanselme's, Price Floral and Price Trading as a bookkeeper. She enjoyed crafts, going to Wendover, family picnics, camping and watching the Utah Jazz. Carol always kept a meticulous and beautiful home. She was a wonderful cook who made a mean meatloaf and at Christmas time she would cook up some carrot pudding, rice and raisins, carrot cookies and fantastic fruit cakes. Carol was a special mother, grandmother and great grandmother who will be dearly missed by all.

The family would like to thank the ICU and Med Surge nurses at Castleview Hospital and the staff at Parkdale Care Center for the special care they gave Mom.
