Helper plans to purchase memberships in Carbon Boys and Girls

The Helper City Council has already made one decision on its budget for the next fiscal year. It will find $600 to buy 30 memberships in the Boys and Girls Club of Carbon County.

McKell Warburton, the club's director, had asked the city for financial support, but there is no money for it in this year's budget. Helper's new budget won't take effect until July 1.

Meanwhile, the city is amenable to offering in-kind support such as use of facilities for activities or making the city pool available for a fund-raiser for the club.
