SUNNYSIDE - Dorothy was born March 15, 1920 to Robert George and Stella Pullman Post in Ft. Lyan, Colo. Died Feb. 6, 2012 at Washington Terrace Care Center in Ogden.
She married Henry Korfanta on April 19, 1937 in San Francisco, Calif.
They lived their early married life in Oak Creek, Colo., where Henry worked in the coal mines and all three of their children were born. In 1948 the family all moved to Sunnyside where Dorothy and Henry lived until their passing.
Dorothy was called of God receiving her calling in l953 when she became an ordained minister with the Pentecostal Church of God and later also with the Assemblies of God. When those churches closed in East Carbon Dorothy and her family became members of the East Carbon Christian Missionary Alliance Church. She continued her lifelong work as a teacher of the gospel until she became physically unable to live at her home. She spent time in the Heirloom Inn in Price where they took good care of her and later ended up at the Washington Terrace Care Center in Ogden where she passed away to be with Henry who preceded her in November 2001; her parents and her two brothers, Robert and Wendell Post.
Survived by three children, Yvonne(Roger)Jensen, East Carbon; Charles (Dixie) Korfanta, Anaheim Hills, Calif; James (Sue) Korfanta, Alta Loma, Calif.; grandchildren, Lisa(Joe) Petersen, Clinton; Michael R Jensen, Sunnyside; Sherry (Karl) Berexa, Roseville, Calif.; Karen (Stephen) Gebbie, San Jose, Calif.; Robert Korfanta, Ventura , Calif. ;Kerrie Korfanta, New Port Beach, Calif.; Kimberly (Robert) D'addario, New York City, NY; David Sahargun, New York City, NY; great-grandchildren, Michele (James) Spendlove, Roy; Dylan Petersen, Clinton; James Anthony D'addario, New York; Derek and Noelle Berexa, Roseville, Calif.; Lauren and Lucas Gebbie, San Jose, Calif.; great-great grandchildren, Keleii and Aidyn.
