Family Dollar store opens in West Price

The newest Family Dollar store has opened in West Price next to C J's Do It Yourself Center. Manager Randy Burgess, raised in Price has returned to Carbon County with his family to open the business. According to Burgess, there are 4,700 dollar stores in the nation and the number is growing.

"We want to be Prices' family store," says Burgess, adding, "we have fast, friendly service."

Linda Lavern and Jason Rassmussen are assistant managers.

The dollar store carries brand name items ranging from 25 cents to $30. More than a dollar store, they also carry items from candy to toothpaste, including clothing, rugs and lamps.

The store hours are 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sundays.
