Wanting to know how school districts around the state are currently doing and what issues they are facing first-hand were just some of the reasons for Utah Lieutenant Governor Greg Bell stopping by in Price on Wednesday afternoon.

Bell made a stop in Price as part of his tour around the state in an effort to visit every school district in Utah.

Many Carbon School District administrators, teachers, staff along with local state representatives were in attendance to pose questions about different topics and issues facing the school district.

Jeff Richens, a Carbon School District Board member, thought the meeting was very informative in bringing up issues that rural school districts, such as Carbon, are currently dealing with today. With 90 percent of the population living in urban areas and only 10 percent living in rural areas of the state, there are many differences in how they view certain issues including transportation and electronic high schools, Richens said.
