After a hugely successful season last year the Carbon Raptors again take to the wrestling mat. With five returning state champions, many state placers, and a few new faces, the Raptors set their sights on Provo. Six weeks into the season the young grapplers have only seen the practice mat, so it was yet to be determined what type of outcome would present itself at the Provo Holiday Classic tournament which houses some of the best wrestling clubs in the state.

The Raptors started out strong winning first five matches before losing a close match by pin. From there the Raptors never looked back. They captured five golds, five silvers, and one bronze.

The results were as follows:

Finishing in first place: Tarron Mogenson, Chanse Pendergrass, Nathan Velasquez, Triton Abeyta and Taylon Abeyta.

Finishing in second place: Jordan Davies, Mckaden Whiteleather, Drew Jones (MHJH), Austin Phillips (MHJH), Chandler Boyd.

Finishing in third place: Cole Cripps

Finishing in fourth place: Caleb Sanderson

Those who participated in the event but did not place: Kyelon Boyd, Cayleb Marshall, Bonham Brewer and Ridic Migliori.
