The Helper Junior High wrestling team was close to regular season perfection, but the Mont Harmon Junior High wrestlers had other plans for them.

Instead of finishing the regular season, Mont Harmon defeated Helper 45-42 in the final match before the league tournament.

Mont Harmon opened up with a 24-6 lead and were able to extend it to 36-12 a few matches later.

Helper, as they have done all season long, made a comeback and tied the match at 36-36. They got their first lead of the match 42-36 on a forfeit victory at 165 lbs.

At 175 lbs, Mont Harmon's Wyatt Jeffs defeated Helper's Nathan Pratt by pinfall to tie the match at 42-42.

In the heavyweight match to decide the winner, Mont Harmon's Caleb Nelson scored a decision victory over Helper's Marcus Santi to secure the match for Mont Harmon.

Helper finished the season 5-1 and were still able to walk away with the Castle Valley Athletic Association League Championship.

Helper and Mont Harmon will both be looking to win the league tournament which takes place tonight at San Rafael Junior High.
