Human remains found in manhole
Hazardous materials vans, an ambulance, the sheriff's mobile command center, and more than a score of emergency responders lined the east side of US 6 just south of Price early Monday afternoon.
All the activity came about because of a body found in the sewer system Monday morning by Price River Water Improvement District personnel who were doing a routine check on the sewer system.
"We know the body is that of a male, but we don't have any idenfication on it," said Carbon County Sheriff James Cordova. "The body has been sent to the state medical examiners office for examination." More details will follow in the Thursday edition of the Sun Advocate.
