In their second matchup in less than two weeks, the Western Wyoming Mustangs got a win against the USU Eastern men 89-80 last Saturday.

Playing at home for the first time since mid-November, Eastern played from behind through much of the game. Late in the first half, Western Wyoming took a six point lead, which they never relinquished.

In the second half, Western Wyoming began to pull away from Eastern, leading by as many as 18 points in the second half on their way to the win.

The Eastern men shot 30-of-60 from the field in the game but were just 14-of-23 from the free throw line and 6-of-25 from three.

The team also had 22 turnovers in the game, which lead to scoring opportunities for the Mustangs.

Sophomore Neveij Walters led Eastern with 26 points on a perfect 12-of-12 shooting and 13 rebounds in the game. Freshman Chase Flint had 18 points, seven assists and six rebounds. Freshman Dashaun Wiggins had 13 points and sophomore Demetrus Richardson finished with 12 points.
