SUNNYSIDE - Charlotte May Bittick, age 90, passed away Friday, Nov. 25, 2011 in Provo after a short illness.
She was born in Pennsylvania on Oct. 17, 1921 to William May and Harriet Stamboulakis May. Charlotte graduated from both Carbon High and LDS Business College. She worked as a payroll clerk for the Kenilworth mine, which is where she met Thurston Bittick. Charlotte and Thurston were married Sept. 11, 1946 in Reno, Nev. They had two children - Linda Bittick Johnstun and Daniel Bittick. Charlotte also worked as a seamstress at Koret of California from 1968 to 1987. Thurston passed away Feb. 22, 2009.
Charlotte enjoyed gardening, decorating her home, and spending time with her family and friends. She also liked to crochet and work on crossword puzzles.
Charlotte is survived by her daughter, Linda Bittick Johnstun, Price; son, Daniel Bittick, Medford, Ore; sister-in-law, Bessie May, Price; grandchildren, Jodie Scartezina, Murray; Edward (Lindsay) Scartezina, Cedaredge, Colo; Jason Bittick, Portland, Ore; Christopher Bittick, Hanford, Calif; Burke (Tia) Johnstun, West Jordan; and Tracy Stephenson, Roseville, Calif; great-grandchildren, Alexa, Isabella, Olivia, Xander and Tony; life long friend, Lois Lundberg, Price; and many loving nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother, Emanuel May; sisters, Virginia (Duane) English, Helen (Morris) Newberry; nephew, Michael Newberry; and son-in-law, Douglas Johnstun.

Graveside service, Saturday, Dec. 3, 2011, 11 a.m., Cliffview Cemetery. Family will receive friends at Mitchell Funeral Home, 233 E.
