EAST CARBON/GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. - Shane L. Timothy, age 58, passed away on Nov. 16, 2011 at St. Mary's Hospital in Grand Junction, Colo.
He was born on Oct. 13, 1953 in Ogden to Louis Earl and Ann Lindsey Timothy.
Shane was a graduate of East Carbon High School Class of 1971 where he was active in sports. After graduation he went to work at Horse Canyon Mine where he was a member of the U.M.W.A. Local # 9958. Shane later relocated to California and at the time of his passing he was residing in Grand Junction.
Shane was a huge Pittsburgh Steelers fan who bled black and gold. He enjoyed waterskiing, dancing, the soap opera "Days of our Lives", and playing with his grandchildren.
Survived by his children, Amy (Russell) Cave, Price; Cass (Gina) Timothy, Green River, Wyo; Christina Timothy and Mary Timothy, Ripon, Calif; mother, Ann Timothy, Price; sister, Luann Oviatt, Anchorage, AK; brother, Colin (Becky) Timothy, East Carbon; sister, Tami (Danny) Velasquez, Price; grandchildren, Carson, Kaitlyn and Jayla; and many loving nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by his father Louis Earl Timothy.
We love you Shane and you are greatly missed.

Memorial service, Saturday, Dec. 3, 2011, 4 p.m., Mitchell Funeral Home, 233 E. Main, Price. Family will be at Mitchell's Saturday one hour prior to service where everyone is encouraged to wear their favorite sports attire. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Callahan Edfast in Grand Junction and Mitchell Funeral Home of Price where friends can share memories of Shane at www.mitchellfuneralhome.net.
